The U.S. Department of Education’s Student Engagement and Attendance Center hosted a webinar on January 10, 2023 focused on how state and local education agencies can address chronic absenteeism. The following resources highlight an initiative by the Connecticut Department of Education to engage students and their families in regular attendance through home visits which resulted in increased attendance rates by up to 15% after six months.
